Owner Micah Carroll has over 20 years of experience with plaster finishes and applications. Micah is a fourth generation plasterer from the Carroll family, a prominent fixture in the New Mexico plastering community for many decades. He is the co-founder of Variance Specialty Finishes with its beginnings in the late 90s. For 13 years he worked as the primary product developer, technical director, and application specialist. He was responsible for the technical writing and training programs along with the color and sample program.
In 2012 Parex USA obtained the exclusive manufacture and distribution rights for the Variance product line. For almost 2 years he worked with Parex USA and assisted with the transition. In late 2013 he left the company to start Las Manos Finishes, specializing in the production and installation of unique and beautiful wall finishes.
